Congratulations to Mary O’Dowd!
Governor Chris Christie recently appointed Ms. O’Dowd as the New Jersey Commissioner for the Department of Health and Senior Services. Prior to her appointment she served as the Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Health. She was very instrumental in growing and sustaining the Departments Charity Care program. She also managed multiple areas including healthcare finance, health facilities evaluation and licensing, senior benefits & utilization management, aging services, and community services.
A 2004 EMPH graduate, she also completed a fellowship in hospital finance at NYU Medical Center. She is currently ranked #8 on NJ Business’s 50 most powerful people in New Jersey.
