The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene sent out a press release announcing the arrival of influenza in New York City. If you’re like me, you’re already aware, as the flu has paid you a visit.
Influenza has arrived in New York City, so if you and your family have not been vaccinated against the disease this season – now is the time to do it. Surveillance systems indicate that influenza is now spreading among New Yorkers. There is plenty of vaccine available this year and there is still time to get vaccinated, so the Health Department is urging all New Yorkers to get vaccinated and reduce their risk.
There is information at the bottom of the release on where New Yorker’s can go to get a flu shot.
