From the Daily Politics:
The Healthcare Association of New York State has launched a hard-hitting TV ad campaign in opposition to Gov. David Paterson’s proposed budget cuts, employing a well-worn scare tactic – the prospect of closed emergency rooms – to drive its point home.
The buy is in the six figures, according to HANYS spokesman Bill Van Slyke, and the spot will start running statewide on Monday.
Interesting that HANYS is coming out swinging while 1199-SEIU and the Greater New York Hospital Association, which have led the charge against cuts in the past, are taking a back seat in this campaign.
